NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry announced it will not be possible to produce Work Truck Week in its traditional in-person format next year. North America's largest work truck event, originally scheduled March 9 to 12, 2021, in Indianapolis, includes The Work Truck Show and Green Truck Summit.

The Contractors Association of Will and Grundy Counties (CAWGC) held an Oktoberfest on Oct. 1 at the Grundy County Fairgrounds in Morris, Ill. This networking event was attended by nearly 300 people, despite the unseasonable early fall frigid weather.

A beautiful day welcomed 144 golfers to IAAP's Sep. 17 golf outing held at WeaverRidge and Coyote Creek golf clubs in Peoria, Ill. Due to the strong support of everyone attending, this outing raised $8,580 for the IAAP Political Action Committee.

After discussions with key stakeholders and feedback from industry-leading concrete and masonry associations, World of Concrete made the proactive decision to reschedule WOC 2021 from January to June. "The decision to move the dates back several months was not easily reached; however, we felt it was the right choice for all involved.

The Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association (MAPA) announced new dates for its MAPA Asphalt Conference. Due to the pandemic, the conference will be held Feb. 3 to 4, 2021. According to a MAPA newsletter, the organization hopes "that after the New Year, we will be able to reconvene and offer similar elements to the conference that we have in the past.

The AGC of Minnesota Foundation held its 2020 Sporting Clays Fundraiser on Sept. 16 at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club in Prior Lake, Minn. Money raised through registration, silent auction, BINGO and raffles benefits annual scholarships to higher education students pursuing construction careers.

GUCA members hit the greens Sept. 21, 2020, at the White Oak Golf Club in Newnan, Ga., for the 2020 GUCA Larry S. McReynolds Memorial Golf Tournament. This event helps raise money for GUCA educational programs and industry endeavors. This tournament gives GUCA the opportunity to give back to the industry by providing scholarships to 3rd and 4th year civil engineer and construction management degree program college students at Kennesaw State University and Georgia Southern University.

Ag-Pro held two Day-In-The-Dirt sessions just north of Columbus, at Liberty Park in Powell, Ohio, on Sept. 11 and 12. The day-long events offered an opportunity for contractors and landscapers to try out the dealership's line of John Deere skid steer loaders, John Deere mini-excavators and the dealership's line of Boxer mini-skid steers.
