Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) announced that Eric Wareham has joined the association as vice president of policy, further strengthening AED's advocacy efforts on behalf of equipment dealers across North America, AED said.
Wareham joins AED after serving as senior vice president of government affairs of the North American Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA), where he built a distinguished career representing equipment dealers before policy makers across the United States and Canada.
At AED, Wareham will join AED's government affairs team lead by Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Daniel B. Fisher. Together, the team will continue advocating for equipment dealers in Washington, D.C., Ottawa and at the state and provincial level, ensuring the industry's voice is represented wherever public policy decisions are made, AED said. Additionally, Wareham will have a focus on ensuring equipment dealers are strongly represented among industry partners.
"The addition of Eric Wareham reflects AED's continued commitment to building the strongest team possible to represent the interest of equipment dealers," said Brian P. McGuire, president and CEO of AED. "His extensive experience and agriculture policy expertise will further strengthen AED's ability to advocate for our members and the equipment industry. As AED continues to grow, Eric will play an important role in advancing the issues that matter most to equipment dealers across North America."
"AED has built an extensive and effective government affairs program, and I'm honored to join such a talented team," said Wareham. "Working alongside the AED team, I look forward to helping advance policies that support equipment dealers, protect their businesses and strengthen the equipment industry throughout North America. The work AED does representing equipment dealers in all arenas is second to none, and I'm excited to be part of that effort."
