Atlas Copco Portable Energy Names New Regional Marketing Manager

A long-time employee will now be the company's new regional marketing manager of North and South America.

- National Edition

Atlas Copco Portable Energy has appointed Eric Van Meel as its new regional marketing manager of North and South America. Van Meel is based out of Atlas Copco’s Rock Hill, S.C., offices.

Van Meel succeeds Ben Van Hove in the position, who accepted appointment as vice president marketing of generators and light towers of Atlas Copco Portable Energy in September.

Van Meel’s long history with Atlas Copco began in 1986 as inspector of quality control in the airpower division in Belgium. He was promoted to service engineer for the portable air division a few years later.

Van Meel’s first international position was in 1997, when he became product manager of generators in Chile. In 2000 Van Meel moved to business line manager of the portable energy division in Chile, and then in 2003 moved to Canada to accept a position as business line manager of aftermarket products.

Since 2008 Van Meel has served as the general manager of Atlas Copco Compressor Technique in Argentina.
