CAWGC Announces Recipients of 20th Annual Scholarships

Since 1996 the CAWGC has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to area students who are pursuing careers in the construction field.

Alissa M. Alberico, a graduate of Providence Catholic High School, will be a senior at Georgia Institute of Technology and majoring in engineering. Her parents are Kathleen and Luigi Alberico of J. S. Alberico Construction, a CAWGC member.

 Paige C. Dickison, who was homeschooled, will be a junior at Olivet Nazarene University. She will is majoring in chemical engineering. Her parents are Roxanne and John Dickison, an employee of P. T. Ferro Construction, a CAWGC member.
 Alec R. Leasure, a graduate of Coal City High School, will be attending Lewis University and will be majoring in business administration/project management. His parents are Shantel and Everett Leasure of D Construction, a CAWGC Member.
 Joseph W. Mann, a graduate of Wilmington High School, will be a sophomore at Joliet Junior College and majoring in construction management. His parents are Judith and Patrick Mann of Local 597 Pipe Fitters Union.
 Paul A. Sieczkowski, a graduate of Carl Sandberg High School, will be attending Purdue University and majoring in engineering. His parents are Elena Reklaitis and William F. Sieczkowski Jr. of R. Carlson & Sons Inc., a CAWGC member.
 William F. Sieczkowski III, a graduate of Carl Sandberg High School, will be a senior at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and majoring in civil and environmental engineering. His parents are Elena Reklaitis and William Sieczkowski Jr. of R. Carlson & Sons Inc., a CAWGC member.
 Scott E. Simpson, a graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy, will be a junior at Ferris State University and is majoring in construction management.  His parents are Patricia and John Simpson of Frank Burla & Sons Builders, a CAWGC member.
 Nick J. Verchimak, a graduate of Morris High School, will be a senior at Illinois State University and majoring in construction management. His father is Jeff Verchimak, a member of IBEW Local 150.
 Bryn E. Waligorski, a graduate of Plainfield Central High School, will be attending Iowa State and majoring in civil engineering. Her parents are Monica and Ignacy Waligorski of Plainfield Construction, a CAWGC member.

The Contractors Association of Will and Grundy Counties' (CAWGC) Scholarship Chairwoman Becky Fallin, president of RHL Insulation, announced the 20th Annual CAWGC Scholarships recipients. Neta Hess, CR Leonard Plumbing & Heating and Marsha Rolih, Pierro Quality Electrical also served on the scholarship committee with Fallin.

Since 1996 the CAWGC has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to area students who are pursuing careers in the construction field. Those interested in learning more about next year's scholarship program should visit the association website, www.CAWGC.org. Next year's form will be available after Feb. 1, 2017.
