The Contractors Association of Will & Grundy Counties held its Annual Steak Fry on Aug. 22. Attendance records were broken for the event, held in St. Joseph's Park in Joliet, Ill. While steaks were served to more than 735 hungry attendees, live band Still Kick'n, played music from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Members participated in a bean bag tournament to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The total donation of $6,245 includes $160 from the bean bag tournament and $670 from the 50/50 drawing. CAWGC also will donate the proceeds from its Fall Golf Outing 50/50 drawing held on Sept. 13.

The CAWGC is a nonprofit trade association with more than 200 members. The group holds several networking events, including the Meet and Greet Expo, golf outings and the popular Steak Fry.
