Professional Women in Construction NY (PWC) has appointed Chelsea LeMar as executive director.
LeMar brings to the nonprofit organization an international and domestic background working with public programs that provide the support and resources that enable various groups to flourish and thrive. She will concentrate on developing, rebranding and expanding PWC’s scope and mission in multiple areas including mentorship and continuing education; membership recruitment; and building connections with both the public and private sectors. LeMar holds a Master in Public Administration from the London School of Economics. She has worked on policy development with the U.S. Department of Transportation focusing on grants distribution for highways, transit systems, bridges and other infrastructure projects and with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the International Budget Partnership (UK/Kenya).
PWC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit committed to advancing professional, entrepreneurial and managerial opportunities for women and other non-traditional populations in construction and related industries.
