Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment features the CPS 90 KD and CPS 185 T4F portable diesel compressors in its lineup. The 90 and 185 CFM compressors can be utilized for a wide range of general construction applications. The compressors provide the user with compressed air between 88 and 187 cfm at a working pressure of 102 psi (7 bar).

Equipped with a water-cooled, 49 hp, 4-cylinder T4F Kubota engine, the 185 CFM compressor delivers a versatile solution for the construction market by hosting a multitude of pneumatic construction tools on the job site. The CPS 90 is powered by a Kubota 24.4 hp, 3-cylinder engine.

“The CPS 90 and 185 KD were designed with the operator in mind,” said Eric Massinon, business development manager at Chicago Pneumatic. “Not only are these machines powerful and efficient, but they also provides the user with a list of diagnostics and protective shutdowns. This is all done through a new intuitive controller that makes the transition to T4F easier by taking the guesswork out of the operation.”

With a normal working pressure of 100 psi, the compressor offers a maximum unloading pressure of 125 psi, and features a 20-gal. (76 L) fuel tank. The CPS 90 features an operating weight of 1,100 lbs. (499 kg), and measures 116 in. (294 cm) long, 51.5 in. (131 cm) wide, and 47 in. (119 cm) tall.

Engineered with a low-maintenance design, the CP portable compressors have few moving parts that help minimize mechanical wear. While the naturally aspirated Kubota engine makes for quiet operation at a 76 dBA sound level, the compressors also feature a noise-reducing durable galvanneal sheet metal enclosure that further reduces noise as well as corrosion. For added protection on the go, the compressors are designed for convenient transportation with an adjustable-height hitch for easy towing.
