Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment has added a new light tower to its lineup with the launch of the CPLT V4 to the North American market. It is the first model that features a heavy-duty polyethylene canopy for rugged durability that is designed to withstand the most extreme elements and working conditions.

The new canopy coupled with the light tower's compact size, ease of transportation, safety features and lighting performance makes the CPLT V4 a great solution on any job site. The CPLT V4 can be used in a wide range of applications and industries, including public lighting, events, roadwork, construction sites and general industry work.

With a 28-gal. (106 L) fuel tank, the light tower features a long fuel autonomy that allows it to run for 50 hours of operation without the need to refuel, helping to maximize productivity and illumination time. A Kubota EPA Tier IV engine powers four high performing 1,000-watt metal halide lamps that offer visibility up to 7 acres.

Not only is the canopy durable, but it also features easy service access with wide wing doors to allow 100 percent access to the machine, including service components and drains. Also featured on the canopy is an environmentally friendly frame design that prevents oil, fluids and fuel from leaking out and contaminating the ground.

Even in the most demanding conditions, the CPLT V4 extended features ensure complete safety on the job site with four heavy-duty stabilizers and a level indicator. Designed for easy transportability to or around the work site with a compact and lightweight design, the light tower can be transported with the mast in the vertical position, allowing safer transportation and installation. The design also allows operators to transport up to 20 units at one time.

“Light towers are crucial to many industries and often have to deal with the changing temperatures and conditions, including high wind speeds and ice,” said Jim Siffring, product manager of portable energy at Chicago Pneumatic. “The CPLT V4 offers an incredibly rugged durability in a compact package and the heavy-duty polyethylene canopy makes it unflappable in any extreme outdoor condition. It will offer a great return on investment to users over the light towers long lifespan and has the versatility to be utilized in several different applications from sporting events to construction job sites.”

Chicago Pneumatic has several different options that are available for the CPLT V4.
