The CK Power Family of Cos. Announced on July 1, 2026, the acquisition of Rocky Mountain Construction Equipment (RMCE), a Colorado-based provider of construction equipment sales, service, parts, transportation and contractor support.
RMCE will be integrated into Rocky Mountain Powertrain (RMPT), a CK Power division, doubling the size of RMPT's aftermarket services operation and expanding its ability to support customers throughout Colorado and the western United States.
The acquisition brings together two highly complementary businesses. For decades, RMPT has built its reputation around industrial engines, transmissions, axles, diagnostics, hydraulics, electrical systems and powertrain repair.
RMCE adds specialized expertise in telehandlers, aerial equipment, concrete pumps, grout pumps, field service, equipment transportation and contractor support, creating a more comprehensive service platform for construction, infrastructure, industrial and development customers, according to the company.
The combined organization allows customers to consolidate equipment support through a single service partner rather than coordinating repairs, transportation, diagnostics, and technical support across multiple vendors. Together, the organizations create one of the region's most comprehensive equipment and industrial service networks, backed by CK Power's 97-year legacy in power solutions, industrial engines, diagnostics and engineering support.
"This acquisition reflects where our industry is headed," said Clayton Costello, co-CEO of CK Power. "Customers are looking for service partners that can solve more problems, support more equipment and respond faster when uptime matters. By combining RMPT and RMCE, we're creating a deeper bench of technical expertise and a broader service network that allows us to support customers in ways neither organization could accomplish independently."
The integration also expands RMPT's manufacturer relationships and equipment support capabilities. RMPT will continue serving customers as the authorized Putzmeister dealer for Colorado, specializing in sales and authorized service, and as a Multiquip dealer offering grout and concrete pump solutions.
These long-standing manufacturer relationships and service authorizations have helped establish RMCE as a trusted resource for specialized construction equipment and now further strengthens RMPT's service platform, according to the company.
As part of the integration, all RMCE employees will join RMPT. Operations will transition into RMPT's recently renovated facility located at 10300 E. 107th Place, Brighton, Colo. The expanded location provides employees with access to additional resources, improved tools, advanced training opportunities and a larger collaborative service environment designed to support long-term growth.
"When evaluating the future of RMCE, protecting our employees and continuing to serve our customers at the highest level were the most important considerations," said Kyle McElroy, owner and president of RMCE. "Joining CK Power Family of Companies and Rocky Mountain Powertrain allows us to build on what we've created while giving our team greater opportunities, additional resources and long-term stability. Most importantly, this investment in our people will ultimately translate into even better service and stronger support for the customers who rely on us every day."
CK Power said the acquisition advances its mission to continuously expand its product and service offerings while enhancing the customer experience. By combining complementary expertise, manufacturer relationships and service capabilities, the company is positioned to deliver broader solutions, deeper technical resources and more comprehensive support throughout the equipment life cycle. ♣
