There's a new chief financial officer at a construction firm in the region.

Holland-based Elzinga & Volkers said this month it has promoted Grace Silva, a 15-year company veteran, to CFO of the firm and its subsidiary, EV Group.

Silva has served as the company's accounting department leader and controller.

“We are excited for Grace to take on this highly valued and important leadership role for our company, especially in light of our rapid growth in both volume and geographic footprint,” said Mike Novakoski, president and CEO, Elzinga & Volkers.

“The tax complexities that come with working in more than 30 states alone can be difficult, and Grace has proven that she is up for every challenge we put in front of her.”

Silva is a member of the Western Michigan Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association.

She holds an accounting degree from Calvin College and an M.B.A. from Cornerstone University.

Founded in 1945, Elzinga & Volkers is a construction management and consulting firm serving a variety of industries.

EV Group is a subsidiary of the firm and a supplier of construction management, project management and administrative employees.
