Cowin Equipment Opens New Branch in Pensacola, Fla.

Cowin Equipment Company Inc., based in Birmingham, Ala., recently opened the doors to its brand new branch facility in Pensacola, Fla.

The new building is located next to Interstate 10 and Highway 29 at 7950 Pittman Ave., across Highway 29 from the original Cowin Equipment location this one replaced.

With nearly 20,000 sq. ft. of space, it is twice the size of the original facility and provides a modern and functional working area for the Pensacola staff.

It has a modern shop with full span overhead cranes, lighting and oil and lubrication dispensers in all bays. The parts warehouse is sized for future business expansion, and there is ample parking for customers. An EPA-compliant machine wash bay is currently under construction at the rear of the property.

Sales and rental coverage from the Pensacola location is provided by Jim Oyler and Justin Morgan. Managing the day to day operation of more than 20 employees are Rental Manager Matt MacDonald, Service Manager Hugh Dobbs and Parts Manager Johnell Smith.

Jamie Cowin, Cowin Equipment’s president and owner; and Dennis McPoland, senior vice president and general sales manager, worked closely with the building contractor, Golden Associates, during the construction of the new facility.

Cowin’s Pensacola is a full-service authorized distributor for Ingersoll Rand Road Machinery products (now Volvo Road products), the Grove and National Crane divisions of Manitowoc Cranes, Kobelco excavators, Ingersoll Rand portable compressors and utility equipment, Kawasaki wheel loaders, Terex Construction, Kobelco cranes, Takeuchi, GOMACO, ED Etnyre, Broce, Liebherr, CEC screens, Indeco, Astec, Gorman Rupp and others.

Cowin Equipment also has a large rental fleets of late model construction equipment.

Cowin has eight branches throughout the Southeast.
