The training sessions were conducted at the company’s locations in Cranberry, Pa., Columbus, Ohio, and Louisville, Ky.
A session entitled Baroid Mud School provided information about mixing mud for various bores and changing conditions, identifying formations, selection and concentration of Baroid products, pump volumes and information about the Fluid Formulator, a mobile phone app available at the Ditch Witch Mid-States’s Web site.
Ditch Witch factory representatives presented a talk on the Ditch Witch MR90 mud recycler with a follow up walk around of the machine. The self-contained, portable unit is designed to maximize efficiency and profits by reclaiming, recycling and reusing drilling mud. As the only mud-recycling unit on the market that can be transported full of fluid, and capable of quick setup times, operators experience increased efficiency and reduced expense on the job site.
The events also included sessions on the Ditch Witch TK Series HDD Electronic Guidance Systems, designed to aid operators in monitoring the location of the bore in directional drilling.
