Farm-Rite Equipment, a full service, authorized Bobcat dealer, will be hosting an open house at its newest location in Willmar, Minn., on April 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Officially opened in November 2012, the Willmar facility offers customers a larger parts and equipment inventory, as well as an increased rental fleet and quality service department. Factory service and product training has been completed by all staff members.

Farm-Rite Equipment Inc., was originally established in the mid-1970s as a farm implement dealer, selling and servicing Massey-Ferguson farm equipment, and located in the small community of Dassel, Minn. As the farming landscape drastically changed in the late 1970s and early ’80s, the Massey-Ferguson line was dropped, and the Bobcat and Mustang compact equipment lines were acquired. Ownership of Farm-Rite Equipment also changed hands during that time, and eventually a larger facility was needed. In 1985 Farm-Rite moved to its present location on the western edge of Dassel.

As the economy boomed in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Farm-Rite continued to grow as Bobcat Company became a leading manufacturer in the skid-steer loader industry. A major change occurred in 1995 when Tim and Tom Cox purchased Farm-Rite Equipment. Sales blossomed and Farm-Rite continued to nose its way into a rapidly growing skid-steer loader market by providing its customers with unequalled customer service. Then in 2002, Farm-Rite became an exclusive Bobcat equipment dealer when it dropped its Mustang line.

In the spring of 2007, Farm-Rite Equipment again improved its loyal customers’ experience when they moved in to an expansive, new facility just to the north of the old building at its present location.

Dedicated to giving customers red-carpet service on a daily basis, combined with a loyal customer base continue to give Farm-Rite Equipment its current-day success as central Minnesota’s largest Bobcat dealer, said the company.

The Willmar facility is located at 1515 West Litchfield Ave., Willmar, Minn., 56201.

Farm-Rite also has another Minnesota location in Dassel, which is located at 901 Parker Ave. W Dassel, Minn., 55325.
