Finlay Midwest is entering a new chapter under the sole ownership of Bryan Shutt, positioning the company for continued growth while expanding its product offering and customer support throughout the Midwest.
Shutt joined the company as an employee in 2008 while it operated as Powerscreen of Indiana (later Powerscreen Michiana). He became a part owner in 2017, the business was rebranded as Finlay Midwest in 2024, and in 2026 he assumed sole ownership.
The transition represents more than a new name. It reflects a renewed commitment to investing in customers, employees and the future of the business.
"We're very excited because Finlay machines are very user-friendly and offer top performance in their class," Shutt said. "We're looking forward to continuing to grow with our customers."
Finlay Midwest's strong partnership with Finlay has provided customers access to some of the industry's most advanced crushing, screening and conveying equipment. Combined with integrated parts and service support, the transition from Powerscreen to Finlay has led to increased production, improved customer satisfaction and reduced equipment downtime for customers.
Since the ownership transition, Finlay Midwest has added five new team members while expanding its product offering and strengthening its presence across Indiana, Illinois, eastern Missouri and surrounding markets.
The company's growth also has been fueled by its partnership with Ecoverse, allowing Finlay Midwest to expand beyond traditional aggregate equipment into the environmental recycling market.
Today, the company offers equipment for:
- crushing and screening
- trommel screening
- wood processing
- asphalt recycling
- concrete recycling
- soil processing
- environmental recycling
The expanded product lineup gives contractors, aggregate producers and recycling professionals access to a wider range of equipment backed by local sales, parts and service support.
Finlay Midwest's success has not gone unnoticed. The company recently received Finlay's 2025 Global Best Newcomer Award, recognizing its outstanding growth, commitment to customers and strong representation of the Finlay brand.
Looking ahead, Shutt plans to continue expanding both the team and the product offering while maintaining the customer-first approach that has fueled the company's success.
"Our goal is simple," Shutt said. "We want to provide the best equipment, the best support and build lasting relationships with every customer we serve."
With new ownership, an expanding territory and a growing equipment lineup, Finlay Midwest is well positioned for its next phase of growth while continuing to deliver reliable equipment solutions and exceptional customer support across the Midwest.
