Gail Guthrie Takes on Sales, Marketing at All Crane Rental

Gail Guthrie has recently joined All Crane Rental of Georgia as the marketing and sales coordinator.

In this position, she will handle all advertising, sales, trade/convention shows and promotional needs for the Atlanta offices. She also will be working with the city, county and state municipalities to promote All Crane’s new line of Elliot boom trucks and Cormack & Fossy material handling trucks.

Guthrie started her career in the equipment industry in 1984 with a small international company, ICM, in Atlanta. With ICM, she was initiated into heavy equipment for the first time, not knowing a dozer from an excavator. By 1989, she had established herself as a quick learner and an aggressive business person.

That same year, the company was sold and became known as Sykes International Group. She remained with the company as the manager of the Atlanta office. With Sykes, she learned the crane industry on a world-wide basis. International groups such as McDermott, AT&T, Walsh, Slipform Engineering and Daewoo became second nature to Guthrie during this time.

While at Sykes, Guthrie worked with Pat Dandridge (now also with All Crane Rental of Georgia Inc.) and met Jack Swan of All Erection & Crane Rental Corp. in Ohio, and maintained a repertoire with the company throughout the years.

For the past couple of years, Guthrie worked for a local Atlanta company. This position brought new knowledge of the truck industry and financial business to her palette.

Guthrie said she is more than pleased with the volume of “toys” such as aerial lifts, crawler cranes, rough-terrain cranes and boom trucks, and such brands as Grove, Terex, Manitowoc and Manitex, all of which are readily available at All Crane Rental.

“The possibilities in the market are endless with all we have to offer,” she said. “When I was a girl, my father would call me ’Stormy’ because I was always intense and rushed around like a whirlwind to get whatever I was doing accomplished. I hope to take the market by storm for All Crane.

“Our progress will always be a team effort. There are some very smart and effective people already making a great name for All Crane. I hope to work with these people and become a part of their success. We have a vast array of equipment with a large market to penetrate; working as a team, we will accomplish our goals. All Crane promises to be one of the most exciting and enjoyable places I have been associated with. I look forward to coming to work everyday with the chance to meet all of our customers.”
