Texas’ largest heavy equipment dealer, Holt CAT, has announced the opening of its Grand Prairie location with an additional store in Lewisville scheduled to open on Nov. 7.

“North Texas is growing, and Holt CAT is growing with it,” said Dave Harris, Holt CAT vice president and general manager. “Convenience is as essential as quality, and our Metroplex customers will now have more access to the Cat products and services that Holt CAT has available.”

The Grand Prairie store is located at 2615 North Forum Drive, and the Lewisville store will open at 1800 East State Highway 121. Both stores will have machine sales and rental capabilities plus a complete parts inventory. In addition, service for selected small and medium sized machines will be available at each location.

Holt CAT operates three other stores in the Metroplex providing machine sales, rentals, parts and service –– Irving, Fort Worth and North Dallas.

A Helping Hand

A devastated city in the midst of chaos received help to temporarily restore power from Holt CAT.

Working with federal disaster agencies and Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex-based catastrophe response teams, Holt Power Systems supplied two 2,000-kW portable emergency generator sets and the personnel to keep them running 24/7 to provide electricity to the Sheraton New Orleans hotel in downtown New Orleans, allowing the hotel to continue operations and serve as a central command center for officials who were coordinating the rescue and recovery efforts.

This proved to be essential to the recovery process, as all relief efforts were coordinated from this location to aid the flooded city.
