Ben Daniels (R), president of Ben Daniels Construction Equipment, discusses the condition of some of his inventory with a long-time customer, Wayne Hymers of Otsego Auto Crushers. Ben Daniels’ high quality consignments attracted bidders from all across the country. Mike Hunyady, president of Hunyady Auction Company, explains the terms and conditions of the sale. Jack Wythe, general manager of Beck Equipment, looks to fill some orders for his company’s worldwide base of customers. As the gavel drops on the first item, a large crowd of bidders gather to get in on the action. These gentlemen have traveled just across the state line from the gas fields of north-central Pennsylvania.  Jeff Jordan (L) of Jeff Jordan Trucking in Muncy Valley, Pa., and Robert Stenkiewicz of Stenkiewicz Stone in Montrose, Pa. Butch Frey (L) of Butch Frey Equipment in Archbold, Ohio, and Jim Finlon of American Equipment in Farmington, N.Y., are both old acquaintances of Ben Daniels — they came to support Ben and his sale.

The Hunyady Auction Company held a complete liquidation sale Oct. 10 for Ben Daniels Construction Equipment Inc., Binghamton, N.Y.

Ben Daniels Construction Equipment Inc. has been a respected source for high quality used construction equipment for more than 25 years. Due to illness, Ben Daniels has made the decision to cease operation and contracted Hunyady Auction Company to handle the liquidation.
