(AP) — An explosion and fire destroyed a coffee shop Friday in this rural south Georgia city, seriously injuring three people and prompting a warning from city officials for residents to avoid the downtown area. The blast rocked tiny Homerville, a city of about 2,500 people, shortly after noon.

Construction workers are more likely to be injured by struck-by hazards than any other injury, according to a new data report by CPWR, The Center for Construction Research and Training. According to the report, the risk of nonfatal struck-by injuries in the construction industry is almost double the risk of all other industries combined.
