K-Tec

K-Tec Earthmovers Inc. announced its merger with Ashland Industries. The merger of these two highly regarded earthmoving equipment manufacturing companies creates one of the largest companies in the industry. The newly merged organizations will be headquartered in Rosenort, MB, Canada, and led by Mikhail (Mike) Palitsky, president of K-Tec.

Since its inception in 2000, the K-Tec scraper has always been designed as a technologically advanced machine. K-Tec has spent years of research and development in refining the optimal earthmoving scraper and leading the industry in revolutionary product technologies.

Dollar Tree Inc., North America's leading operator of discount variety stores, has construction under way on a new 1.2 million-sq.-ft distribution facility in Ohio's Bennington Township, Morrow County. The company is investing more than $125 million in the project, which will provide service directly to Ohio's 735 existing Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores.

In Stafford County, Va., construction is under way to extend the Interstate 95 Express Lanes about 2 mi. (3.2 km) beyond the flyover ramp where the current 95 Express Lanes currently end, north of Garrisonville Road (Exit 143). The project reportedly aims to reduce delays for northbound general lanes during the morning peak, reduce delays for southbound express lanes during the evening peak, improve safety by reducing vehicles weaving to enter and exit the lanes and increase capacity within the existing right-of-way.

K-Tec Earthmovers, a Canadian-based manufacturer, has just launched its latest and largest construction pull scraper for massive scale earthmoving. With a heaped capacity of 63 cu. yds. (48 cu m) and empty tare weight of 61,000 lbs. (27,669 kg), the K-Tec 1263 ADT is built for massive dirt moving projects.

K-Tec Earthmovers have revealed a fully integrated scraper system to haul twice as much material with the same construction power unit. K-Tec’s 1233ADT scraper is now able to add a hitching system on the rear tail, to accommodate the attachment of another 1233ADT scraper.
