JCB came well prepared with its traveling trailer, designed for the comfort and convenience of JCB’s event guests. This JCB 400 skid steer was a popular machine with event attendees. Dennis Carnahan, city of Kissimmee, Fla., operated a JCB 3CX to first place in the rodeo competition. Joe Fiorelli (L) is in the market for a few skid steers. Alex MacKinnon, vice president of JCB of Florida and Georgia, is showing him a few of the features. In addition to the backhoes, there was plenty of JCB’s other equipment on display throughout the facility. Equipment demonstrations showcased many of JCB equipment features.

JCB of Florida and South Georgia hosted an open house and backhoe rodeo competition on Nov. 18 at its Tampa, Fla., dealership. The event was sponsored by JCB and the SEC Digital Network. JCB is sponsoring the “The Greatest Championship Moment.”

Equipment operators from Florida and South Georgia competed for the grand prize of tickets to the Florida Gators versus Florida State Seminoles game on Nov. 26.

Jason Bennett, Bennett Contracting, took third place and won a new shotgun. Second prize went to Denver Douglas, Spivey Utility. Douglas received two tickets to the University of Florida versus Florida State University football game. First place and four tickets to the UF versus FSU game went to Dennis Carnahan, city of Kissimmee.

In addition to the rodeo, attendees enjoyed food, games and a performance by a member of the JCB Demonstration team, In a door prize drawing, Alisa Bennett of People at Play won the JCB Fan’s Choice Sweepstakes of two tickets to any college game or bowl game of her choice.

The Grand Prize of four tickets to the SEC championship game in Atlanta went to A&S Equipment Rental of Tifton. Ga. The group also will receive an all-expense paid trip to Atlanta and attendance at various celebrations around the game.
