JM Wood Holds 53rd Annual Summer Auction

JM Wood Auction held its 53rd annual summer auction June 16-18, 2026 in Montgomery Ala with 3,100 lots sold and over $70 million in sales. Notable items included a Cat D11T dozer and a 2020 Cat 815 soil compactor. The event drew buyers nationwide and online bidders worldwide. The next auction is Sept 22-24, 2026.

JM Wood Auction held its 53rd annual summer auction at their Montgomery, Ala., headquarters June 16-18, 2026. The sale attracted a terrific presence of onsite buyers from across the country and online bidders from across the globe.

JM Wood representatives told Construction Equipment Guide that 3,100 lots sold, bringing in more than $70 million in total sales.

Featured sellers were The State of Alabama Counties, Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Blanchard Machinery, Bottomline Equipment, Riley Bridge, Scott Bridge, Thorne Excavating, Wiregrass Construction and more than 300 other sellers.

Featured highlights included a Cat D11T dozer from Alabama Power that brought $540,000 and a 2020 Cat 815 soil compactor from Wiregrass Construction that brought $430,000.

"Construction equipment was red hot," Bryant Wood, president of JM Wood told Construction Equipment Guide. "This Montgomery auction has a reputation for clean ready to work equipment and our buyers show up each and every auction to put this equipment on their jobs."
