JM Wood Auction Company Inc. held another successful two-day construction equipment, truck, agricultural and forestry machine auction in Montgomery, Ala., on Dec. 1 and 2. This was the final sale at its headquarters facility for 2016.

Consignors at the auction included Cheniere Construction, Alabama Power Company and more than 250 other sellers. One 2004 Cat 980G, provided by Alabama Power Company, brought $150,000 at the auction.

"This was a great year-end auction for our sellers," said Bryant Wood, JM Wood president. "Optimism in the construction industry was higher than we have seen it in years. Contractors were spending money and excited about 2017."

JM Wood will hold its 44th annual spring auction on March 14 to 17 in Montgomery. This auction will feature more than 3,500 lots, including more than 300 tri-axle dump trucks. JM Wood will have a complete new look in time for the March 2017 sale. The Montgomery facility is currently undergoing a renovation, which includes adding more than 6,000 sq. ft. to the existing building for an enhanced customer experience. CEG
