On Nov. 2, 2019, King of Prussia Equip. Corp. held a one-day service school of MQ-Whiteman ride-on power trowels. Derek Adams, MQ field service manager of the northeast United States and eastern Canada instructed the school.

The service school started at 8:00 a.m. with King of Prussia Equipment Corp. supplying coffee and donuts as Adams was presenting a power point on Multiquip-Whiteman ride-on trowels and proper servicing such as the operation and functionality of the Smart Pitch System, cold start modes, correct hydraulic oil and the necessity to use Donaldson and Zigna hydraulic filters.

Adams spoke of the factory MCU set-up software and parameter update installation. The power point ended with the thrust bearing assembly issues and future updates.

After lunch, which was provided by King of Prussia Equipment, Adams conducted a summarized "hands-on" training on a Whiteman STXD6i 10 ft. rider and with the WST (Whiteman Service Tool). Adams showed how to do the proper adjustments for calibrating, smart pitch operation, setting correct blade speed and testing main drive circuit reliefs, all done with a laptop setup of the WST.

The class ended around 2:00 p.m. with a question and answer session. MQ-Whiteman provided each attendee with a flash drive and all necessary handout for servicing and diagnosing the hydrostatic ride-on trowels. Multiquip-Whiteman provided door prizes of $25 Starbuck gift cards for each attendee.
