Kirby-Smith Machinery Inc. announced the promotion of Chad Cox to the role of sales and operations manager for its Dallas branch. Cox will be responsible for all facets of branch operations in Dallas, including sales and rental oversight. He will be focused on expanding Kirby-Smith's presence in the Dallas metro area, and continuing to build meaningful value-driven relationships with the heavy equipment distributor's customer-base.

Hired by Kirby-Smith as a territory manager earlier in 2016, Cox has more than 10 years of branch and sales management experience, including product sales experience with manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Kubota, Kobelco, Jacobsen and Gradall.

Cox looks forward to the challenges of the position and is ready to help his customers succeed.

“My goal is to develop lasting partnerships with our customers and support them in the challenges they face by providing reliable products and second to none product support,” he said.

David Cooper, vice president and general manager of Kirby-Smith's Texas division, spoke highly of Cox.

“Chad has a solid grasp on branch and sales operations and will continue to promote the best things of Kirby-Smith and add a fresh approach for team building among the employees, cohesiveness among our branch locations and develop deeper connections with our valued clients and customers.”

Cooper is confident of Cox's ability to bring change to Kirby-Smith's Dallas branch, while holding to the core principles that have brought it so much success.

“When you are an experienced veteran of this industry, you appreciate the next group of leaders who can move the company ahead, and also maintain a link with the experience that got us to this level of opportunity. Chad has strong positive energy, a goal for team building, and the competitive drive that will lead to mutual success. We have a great group in Dallas and are confident that Chad will contribute to exceeding our goals.”
