“Energy saving, comfortable, reliable, low use cost and low service cost are the major machine requests on driveline technology today. I believe the current driveline technology needs to focus on low speed driveline technology, powertrain matching technology and driveline control technology while CVT, Hybrid and large driveline technology on above 10T wheel loader should be the development focus in the future,” said Mr. Zeng Guang’an, Chairman of Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. and President of Guangxi LiuGong Group Co., Ltd., at the International VDI Congress in Friedrichshafen, Germany on June 24.

During his speech at the VDI Congress, Mr. Zeng firstly gave an overview of the global CE industry, highlighted Chinese CE manufacture’s market and product strategy, and then talked about LiuGong’s focus and targets. He said manufacturing drove the path to economic prosperity for developing nations and China led the way.

At the end of his speech, Zeng shared LiuGong’s cooperation history between LiuGong and ZF. In 1995, LiuGong and ZF signed an agreement, founding “Liuzhou ZF Machinery” to produce transmissions and spare parts for construction equipment. It has been successfully providing both LiuGong and other manufacturers with high quality construction machinery transmissions since its operation. Subsequently in 2012, LiuGong and ZF built a new company, ZF Liuzhou Axle Co. Ltd., focusing on wheel loader axles that are specially tailored for the requirements of the Chinese market.

The cooperation with world-class partners is a solid strategy in LiuGong’s internationalization process, which provides LiuGong with a unique competitive advantage both in China and around the world.
