Bradley Stancil and Julie Raynor both of Stancil Builders, Raleigh, N.C., were looking at compact track loaders, skid steer loaders and small dozers. Larry Barnes, The Barnes Company, Smithfield, N.C., needed an excavator with a thumb as well as a few trucks. Bill Augustine Jr. (L), and Sr., of winner circle Blueberry Company in Harrells, N.C., needed several wheel loaders, excavators and skid steers. Lloyd Meekins & Sons Auction Company held a successful absolute auction for Coates Corporation on March 29 in Benson, N.C.

More than 700 lots were sold, with more than 1,100 bidders competing for them both onsite and online. The bidders came from 27 U.S. states and 11 countries, and purchased $3.5 million worth of equipment.

Meekins next scheduled sale will be held on April 19 in Wendell, N.C.
