After severe spring hail storms damaged homes across the San Antonio area, Hill Country Construction decided to act.

A local construction company in Texas is reaching out to help those who cannot help themselves.

After recent severe spring hail storms damaged homes across the San Antonio area, Hill Country Construction decided to act. The company has pledged to replace one roof a month for the neediest residents.

Walter Crooks of the company said, "God put us here to help each other out, and we like to do things for people that nobody else will do for them." according to Fox29 San Antonio.

Residents like 87-year old Rosie Morgan couldn't believe the offer was true.

Morgan said, "Well I come to the door and I say yes, and it was one man and he was telling me what he was going to do and nobody had told me. But I was glad, and excited uh hm."

Dorian Castro, also with the Hill Country Construction said, "It made me feel good inside. Anything like that just seeing a person smile just her gratitude it made me feel happy inside."
