MacAllister Machinery Company, the Indiana Caterpillar dealer has opened a new Cat Rental Store located at 2500 W. Coliseum Blvd. in Fort Wayne. The facility, operating under the name MacAllister Rental & Supply, will serve contractors throughout Northeastern Indiana with a wide variety of heavy equipment and brand name allied equipment.

Chris MacAllister, president and chief operating officer said, “We have been renting and leasing Cat equipment for years, but now we’re able to offer our customers a larger variety of equipment, both Cat and non-Cat, and more acquisition options, including short-term rentals. Contractors are renting more and more of the equipment they use, and they now have a supplier they can count on for the best quality equipment available, maintained at the highest standards, ready when and where they need it.”

The 12,000-sq.-ft. facility is located right next to MacAllister Machinery, the company’s original Caterpillar dealership. This gives the rental store an advantage in terms of parts and service. Paul Nelson, the new store manager commented, “If we have a customer that needs parts we don’t typically stock, all we have to do is walk next door and they are up and running again.”

According to Nelson, “The Cat Rental Store has the best selection of tools and equipment in the area. We serve a variety of professional contractors, including those involved in general construction, highway construction, plumbing, electrical, masonry, concrete and landscaping. In addition we will serve industrial facilities that have a need for industrial lifts and platforms.”

The store has a full inventory of smaller Caterpillar equipment, including Cat skid steer loaders, hydraulic mini-excavators, compact wheel loaders, backhoe loaders and telehandlers. The store also features numerous types of complementary equipment and supplies, including compressors, light stands, boom lifts, scissor lifts, welders, pumps, generators and compactors. In addition to the Caterpillar line, some of the brand names available are JLG, Wacker, MultiQuip, Allmand, Grove, National Crane, Rosco and Emglo.

There also is a wide assortment of attachments in stock to add versatility to many of the machines. Nelson said one of the most popular items so far is the Cat skid steer loader with many work tools to perform a variety of jobs.

The Cat Rental Store has a complete service shop and trained service technicians to maintain all equipment in top condition. All customer service personnel receive training on the company’s complete line of products and are knowledgeable about the various uses and applications for those machines.

The store is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
