Going over this Terex TX760B backhoe is Dwayne Holt of Double H Landscaping in Stokesdale, N.C. David Jewell of Martin & Martin finds out which of the Komatsu MD65EX dozers the high bidder wants to take. (L-R): George Cobb of Cobb Equipment in Lexington, N.C.; Bob McCarter of McCarter Contracting in Columbia; and Ed Wilson of Little Loaders in Greenville, S.C., decide which of the machines they want to bid on. All three men came to buy a few machines. The registered bidders came from over half the country, Mexico, Central and South America. The sale included a wide machine selection. Walt Panagakos (L) of Panagakos Asphalt in Greenville had a few questions about several pieces of equipment he intended to bid on, so he found the man with the answers, Joe Boger of Martin & Martin. Ed Turner (L) of Turner Hauling in York, S.C., and Bubba Bailes of Bailes Septic Tank in Clover, S.C., were both interested in the excavators and dump trucks.

Martin & Martin Auctioneers Inc. held its annual Fall Contractors Auction Sept. 22 and 23 in Pelzer, S.C.

A wide selection of equipment went on the block, including crawler dozers, backhoes, rollers and pavers, skid steers, motorgraders and scrapers, boom trucks, dump trucks, water trucks and more.
