MITA Holds Annual Trade Show and Conference

The Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association (MITA) held its annual Conference and Trade Show Jan. 19 to 21 at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, Mich.

This year the theme was “Engage Your Inner Leader” and featured keynote speaker Dr. Jerry Teplitz, a frequent guest on radio who has written six books on managing stress, management and leadership training, sales development and brain integration. His lectures focus on teaching people to have greater business and personal success through tapping into the power of their own personal energy systems.

Other speakers included Rich Studley, president & CEO of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce; Kirk Steudle, director of the Michigan Department of Transportation; Greg Johnson, chief operations officer of the Michigan Department of Transportation; and Bill Rustem, director of strategy of the State of Michigan.

Over the course of the three-day event, conference sessions covered a variety of subjects including the impact of health care on businesses, clean diesel, MDOT issues, and dealing with a changing economy.
