The Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association (MITA) held its annual conference and trade show Jan. 19 to 21 at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, Mich. As a state wide association focused on Michigan’s road and bridge, sewer and water, utility, railroad, excavation and specialty construction, MITA represents nearly 600 Michigan companies throughout the state.

Inc., the Caterpillar dealer for Indiana, acquired on Monday January 31, 2011 Michigan Tractor and Machinery, the Michigan based CAT dealer. MacAllister Machinery was established in 1945 and is headquartered in Indianapolis with 16 locations throughout Indiana housing 750 employees and serving customers in the heavy construction, coal, quarry/aggregate, scrap/waste, commercial/residential construction, agriculture and power systems industries.

The event will occur on May 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Efficiency Production’s corporate headquarters in Mason, Mich. This event is designed specifically for underground utility contractors.

Michigan CAT and LeeBoy have finalized an agreement that awards Michigan CAT exclusive distribution rights for the entire family of LeeBoy/Rosco paving and construction equipment within the state of Michigan. The agreement integrates Michigan CAT’s offerings of customer support with the LeeBoy brand.
