Located in Marble Falls, Texas, I Dig Texas offers a range of skid steer attachments designed for land clearing, heavy brush removal and property maintenance applications.
Among those is the Apex Predator Brush Cutter, a commercial-duty cutter built for contractors handling demanding clearing operations.
According to I Dig Texas, the Apex Predator is designed to cut material ranging from grass and brush up to trees measuring 10 to 12 in. in diameter.
The cutter is available in both 72-in. and 78-in. widths along with standard-flow and high-flow configurations designed to accommodate a variety of skid steer sizes and hydraulic setups. According to the company, the standard-flow model is designed for machines operating between 20 and 30 gpm, while the high-flow version is intended for machines operating between 30 and 48 gpm.
I Dig Texas noted that the cutter incorporates additional steel reinforcement throughout the attachment, including gussets and doubler plates intended to increase durability during heavy clearing applications.
According to the company, the Apex Predator uses a direct-drive bent-axis piston motor similar to systems commonly used on forestry drum mulchers. I Dig Texas said the design is intended to provide high torque and long-duration cutting performance in commercial applications.
The cutter also features a double-plated half-in. flywheel along with four 3/4-in. AR400 blades and 16 carbide mulching teeth positioned underneath the blade carrier. According to I Dig Texas, the mulching teeth are designed to help process limbs, brush and larger material more efficiently during operation.
The company said the Apex Predator is intended for contractors and land clearing crews handling daily commercial clearing work where durability and aggressive cutting performance are priorities.
