Modern Machinery, the Komatsu distributor, has expanded its offices in Missoula, MT.

An office building was recently opened in the company’s headquarters at 101 International Way, adding 15,000 sq. ft. to the complex that includes a 25,000-sq.-ft. parts and service center and the 24,000-sq.-ft. warehouse for new and used parts.

The facility also houses a hydraulic piston pump and motor rebuild center, plus an engine dyno, to provide quality rebuilt components for the construction, logging, and mining industries.

“Our business is growing quickly with the increase in construction throughout the Pacific Northwest, and we’ve expanded our facilities to accommodate this growth,” said Lamont Cantrell, vice president of Sales of Modern Machinery. “We have also increased the number of shop employees and field technicians to service heavy equipment at job sites. We are pleased to be part of the area’s growth.”

Modern Machinery has been selling and servicing heavy machinery since 1944. As the exclusive dealer for Komatsu in the Pacific Northwest, the company has 10 locations throughout the area, in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington plus and 11th location in Russia.
