Modern Machinery, the Komatsu distributor, announced Feb. 19 that the company now offers the Wirtgen Group’s line of road maintenance equipment at all its locations.

The Wirtgen Group includes three manufacturing brands–Wirtgen, Hamm, and Vögele.

Wirtgen manufacturers a wide range of cold milling machines and hot and cold recyclers. Hamm produces compactors, and Vogele, asphalt pavers.

“We are proud to be a distributor for the Wirtgen Group,” said Lamont Cantrell, vice president of sales, Modern Machinery. “Their road maintenance equipment is known for its reliability. These machines join our line-up of top quality brands in the heavy machinery field that includes Komatsu, LeeBoy, Rosco and Valmet Komatsu Forest.”

The Wirtgen Group currently supplies more than 70 percent of all mills, 40 percent of all stabilizers, 38 percent of all asphalt pavers, and 10 percent of all compactors sold into the world markets. The product lines serve contractors and government agencies on job sites worldwide.

Wirtgen’s Rhino Parts Division develops rugged replacement parts for its road maintenance equipment.
