More than 2,100 bidders participated online and in person Dec. 17 at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in North East, Md.

Bidders came from 47 countries, including all 50 U.S. states. More than 92 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Egypt. Online bidders purchased more than 57 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

In total, close to 1,200 equipment items were sold in the auction, including crawler tractors, excavators, articulated dump trucks, skid steer loaders.
