This Cat D5C caught the eye of Paul Izral of Ray Edwards Contractors. Running this Terex 175 excavator is John Dittmer, Dittmer Construction. Inspecting the cab of this Volvo L120E wheel loader is Jim Tracy, McAllister Equipment Co. This late model Cat 914 wheel loader is being looked over by Rich Sitar (L) and Dennis Meier, Meier Brothers Tire. John (in cab) and Bobby Radiceski of Sun Steel would like to take this Cat 430f backhoe home with them. This well-maintained John Deere 644J wheel loader might have a new home with Glen Joskski (L) of Advance Construction and Butch Cravillon of Express Excavating. Ahmed Hamadi (C) of Lafarge is welcomed to the Dave Ritchie Lounge by Johny Ricks (L) and Roger Martinez, both of Ritchie Bros.

More than 2,800 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Chicago, Ill., on March 22.

Bidders came from 46 countries, including 49 U.S. states. More than 65 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as India, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Online bidders purchased more than 41 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

In total, close to 1,700 equipment lots were sold in the auction, including crawler tractors, excavators, wheel loaders, truck tractors and more.
