Murphy Tractor & Equipment Hosts Annual Golf Scramble

Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. Inc., in Park City, Kan., hosted its annual golf scramble on Aug. 16. This year, it was held in Newton, Kan., at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course. Despite weather conditions, a large number of golfers made their way to Newton in high spirits, making it anther successful event. Among many contests for attendees to participate in was a Hole-In-One, with an opportunity to score a John Deere 35D compact excavator.

“I want to thank everyone who made this year’s event possible, especially to our sponsors, volunteers and employees at the golf course, who were more than accommodating to Murphy Tractor and our guests,” said Eric Timken, compact equipment sales manager of Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co., Inc.

“Attendees were excited to participate on one of the Golf Digest’s top public courses in the area. Everyone enjoyed the good food and fellowship with one another. We look forward to continuing great relationships with each of our customers ”

The top three teams, as well as participants who made the longest putt and longest drive, were awarded prizes donated from Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. and sponsors of the tournament. Door prizes were awarded to those lucky individuals whose names were drawn during lunch. This year, two new contests were added, including a chipping contest and closest to the pin.
