John Deere Construction Equipment dealer, Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co., has promoted Adam Karsten to the position of general sales manager - compact equipment. He will be committed to the successful sales growth of the compact equipment line, which includes skids steer loaders, compact track loaders and compact excavators.

Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. recently expanded its area of responsibility to include John Deere compact equipment at all locations in Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and two locations in Iowa.

Karsten has worked for Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. since 2005 as the parts manager of the Lincoln, Neb. location.
