National Trench Safety, LLC (NTS), a Houston-based company specializing in the rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, trench and traffic safety engineering, and OSHA-compliant training classes, announced key organizational promotions and an addition to its team Jan. 10.
First, the company has promoted Wes Jones to the new position of senior vice president of Operational Support. In this new role, Wes will oversee many facets of the day-to-day business operations including safety, training, the NTS University and managing the large non fleet assets for the Company.
“As we've expanded our branch network, our organizational needs have evolved,” said Ron Chilton, president of NTS. “As we looked at certain core business processes we had, we realized that our growth had created a need for increased focus on these efforts and Wes was the natural person to lead these initiatives."
The company has also promoted David Beaver to the new position of vice president of United States Operations. David previously served as the Mid-Atlantic district manager for NTS and led the successful growth of key start-up operations within that district.
“We are very excited to be naming David to this new position,” said Chilton. “We feel that David's background, proven track record and ability to manage a diverse geographical area will provide us the ability to manage our growth while maintaining our reputation for customer service that has defined our market presence.”
David will be tasked with managing the company's U.S.-based operations and will be working closely with Robert Stevenson, NTS' VP of Sales and Engineering.
With the promotion of David, NTS has restructured its districts while promoting Dan Williamson to the new position of Northeast district manager. Dan is a well-known trench safety industry veteran and had previously served as NTS' Chicago Branch Manager.
“Dan has done a tremendous job leading the growth of our Chicago operation since he joined our team,” said Chilton. “We have several newer branches in this Northeast District that we believe Dan's strong product knowledge and sales focus will help us drive continued growth into 2018 and beyond.”
NTS has also announced the addition of Mr. Ray Bilby as the company's national and key accounts manager. Ray is a highly seasoned trench safety professional that will be charged with growing the company's strategic account program.
“We are very pleased to add Ray to our management team,” said Chilton. “Our larger customers with operations in multiple states have routinely requested a stronger, more centralized account management platform and we believe Ray's background and experience will be an asset to our customer base as we continue to broaden our national account program in the coming years.
“These are important moves for NTS, as we position the company for our next wave of growth expanding our domestic footprint as well as our international branch network in 2018,” Chilton continued. “We are really fortunate as we have a strong, deep team of qualified managers. We're very proud of the managers we are promoting and adding, but equally impressed with the branch and district management team we have in place.”
NTS currently operates 32 branch locations in the United States and England. This large national footprint allows NTS to provide its national, regional and local market customers a fully integrated, national branch network delivering unique engineered solutions, the highest level of customer service and the most cost effective shoring solutions in the industry.
In maintaining its objective of building a nationwide network of trench and traffic safety branches, NTS plans to open several additional branch locations over the next 12 months. For more information about NTS, visit the National Trench Safety website at www.ntsafety.com.
