Nevada’s Caterpillar equipment dealer, Cashman Equipment Company, has purchased Spectra Laser of Reno, NV, a dealer of Trimble construction products.

Spectra Laser of Reno, will now go by the name of Spectra Laser LLC — a new division of Cashman Equipment. According to the company, Cashman Equipment is the first Caterpillar dealer in the world to purchase a Trimble dealer.

With this new division, Cashman will now provide products and services from specialists who are factory- trained in the field of Trimble grade, site and laser control systems. The benefits of these systems include the reduction of grade stakes; cost savings across all stages of the earthworks process; digital data transfer design data from design/CAD software to machine for guidance to blade control; less errors; and less material waste.

Cashman Equipment’s Spectra Laser LLC will offer the Trimble BladePro 3D, which allows an operator to finish grade with increased accuracy even on complex designs; Trimble SiteVision GPS, a 3D machine control system, and the Trimble SCS900 site control system, which can be used for topographic surveys, site verification, stakeout and surveying tasks.

The company also will offer Trimble Terramodel software, a software program that provides both design functionality and seamless data flow between the field and office; and Trimble Lasers and Laser Control Systems that cut down on the amount of manpower needed for a job and are used to level concrete forms, lay pipe, build pads, finish grading and excavate.

Cashman Equipment Company is Nevada’s Caterpillar equipment and power solutions dealer. It provides new and used equipment for sale and rental as well as parts and service to the construction, paving, mining, logging, truck engine and power systems industries throughout Nevada.
