Vantage Equipment LLC, with locations in Albany, Syracuse and Batavia, N.Y., has experienced numerous changes recently, starting with the expansion of its Volvo Construction Equipment sales territory. Vantage Equipment has been the Volvo distributor for the full line of construction equipment, paving products and Volvo compact equipment for 50 counties in upstate New York since 2004, Vantage will now represent these products in the additional counties of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange in the lower Hudson Valley.

The Albany location will handle sales and service for the territory. Scott Dicorcia, long-time sales representative for Volvo products will be handling sales and Eric Lawson, a 20-year veteran of Volvo product support, will be in charge of onsite service and product support.

“We are very pleased to add not just the four Hudson Valley counties but also Scott and Eric to the Vantage organization. With any change like this our main concern is that those current and future Volvo customers are supported both through the transition and into the future. Scott and Eric have a long history of taking care of customers in this territory. This is not a complicated business; if you represent great products and support those products with great people you will be successful,” said Todd Kaley vice president of sales of Vantage Equipment.

In addition to the expansion, Vantage also is reorganizing things at its Syracuse location. Jim Scutt, a longtime employee of Vantage, is moving from sales representative for the Syracuse area to customer support representative.

Stepping into Scutt’s former sales responsibilities is new employee Tim Delany, who has extensive experience in the industry. Delany will be representing Vantage Equipment in the Syracuse area and the Southern Tier of New York.

Vantage Equipment’s inventory includes products from BTI Inc., manufacturer of hydraulic hammers and other demolition attachments; Gradall excavators; Doppstadt recycling equipment and Champion motorgraders as well as the Volvo line.
