Mississippi-based Old River Truck Sales recently acquired three Mack truck dealer locations along the Interstate 10 corridor in southern Louisiana.

With the purchase, Old River now has six locations serving customers in the region.

“The acquisition puts us in a better position to serve Mack customers working in oil production on the Louisiana coast,” said Lee White, Old River president. “We're excited about the expansion and the opportunity to serve customers in these new locations.”

The new facilities are located in Lake Charles; St. Rose, which is a New Orleans suburb; and Breaux Bridge, serving the Lafayette area. The acquisition added 92 employees, including 23 service technicians, and more than 115,500 square feet of space.

“Mack Trucks is fortunate to have such an outstanding partner in this area of the country,” said Jonathan Randall, senior vice president, Mack Trucks North American Sales. “Now more of our customers will have the opportunity to experience the exceptional service and support Old River provides every day.”

Headquartered in Richland, Miss., Old River also has locations in Laurel, Miss., and Baton Rouge, La. White started the company in 1982 as a parts and service operation in Woodville, Miss., and quickly expanded to the southern part of the state and into Louisiana.
