Pennsylvania’s Suburban Contractors Association Gets Lesson on Living

June 7, 2000 - Northeast Edition
Construction Equipment Guide

A recent meeting of the Suburban Contractors Association (SCA), held at the Concordville Inn, Concordville, PA, featured entertainment by Grover C. Gouker, professor of Common Sense, graduate of the University of Life.

Gouker spoke mainly on the positive side of living, and to prove his point he spent the better part of his day in the hospital due to an inner ear problem called Menieres disease, which causes loss of balance. Determined that he was going to speak at the meeting, he kept a positive outlook and arrived in time for dinner.

The June meeting of the SCA will be a joint dinner with the National Association of Women in Construction and the Delaware Valley Associated Equipment Distributors. Charles Isell, acting director of aviation, Philadelphia International Airport will speak about the ongoing construction and future plans for the airport.
