On March 27, Professional Women in Construction (PWC) will host its annual awards reception honoring the Goethals Bridge Modernization Program (GBMP) at Club 101, 101 Park Ave., in New York City.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey authorized a project in 2013 to replace the Goethals Bridge through a Public Private Partnership (P3) arrangement. The program scope of work includes the replacement of the existing Goethals Bridge in its entirety with a new 900-ft. (274 m) cable stayed bridge and approach viaducts.

Nicole Hunter, project manager, HNTB, is chairing the program for PWC.
