Ritchie Bros. Hosts Sale in Orlando, Fla.

The multi-million dollar auction attracted more than 1,900 bidders from 45-plus countries.

Ritchie Bros. held its fourth and final Orlando, Fla., auction of 2015 on Oct. 22. The multi-million dollar auction attracted more than 1,900 bidders from 45-plus countries.

More than 1,400 equipment items and trucks were sold in the unreserved public auction. Approximately 64 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers from as far away as Poland, Thailand and Egypt.

The next Orlando auction will be held Feb. 15 to 19, 2016. For decades, Ritchie Bros.’s multi-day February auction in Florida has been the largest industrial auction in the world each year. More than 10,000 equipment items were sold at the 2015 February Orlando event, which attracted 9,350-plus bidders from 81 countries.

“Our February Orlando auction is one of the most eagerly anticipated industry events of the year, attracting thousands of sellers and bidders from around the world,” said Terry Dolan, president USA and Latin America, Ritchie Bros. in a news release issued on Oct. 27. “[On October 22], our Orlando team held its fourth and final auction of 2015. For the next three and half months they will be dedicated to building the best auction event possible for February 2016, with help from across our entire company. ”

Consignments are now being accepted for the Orlando 2016 event.
