Ritchie Bros. is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2018 with multiple leadership awards for members of its executive team. Chief Executive Officer Ravi Saligram recently was recognized as B.C. CEO of the Year (Enterprise Category) by Business in Vancouver and as one of the Executives of the Year by the Best in Biz Awards (Bronze Winner). Ritchie Bros. Senior Vice President Anna Sgro also was singled out, as a Female Executive of the Year by the Stevie Awards.

In 2018 Ritchie Bros., also was recognized corporately as one of the Top 100 Best Employers in British Columbia and was a finalist for "Company of the Year" in the 2018 Technology Awards, hosted by the B.C. Tech Association.

"It is a privilege and honor to receive these prestigious awards," said Ravi Saligram, CEO of Ritchie Bros. "The credit belongs to our 2,300 Ritchie Bros. employees and my excellent management team. I'm the orchestra conductor — they create the music, they create the magic."

"Four years ago, when I joined Ritchie Bros, we set about reimagining and reshaping an already-prominent auction company; transforming the world's largest heavy equipment brick and mortar auctioneer into a digitally-savvy, technology-enabled disposition services company. What has not changed, and remains our north star, is our obsessive focus and passion for serving the customer, and building high, wide, and deep multi-generational relationships. Our most-valuable asset, no matter how advanced we may become in technology, remains our people."

The Best in Biz Awards is the only independent business awards program judged by prominent editors and reporters from top-tier publications in North America. The 2018 judging panel included, among others, writers from Associated Press, Barron's, Consumer Affairs, eWeek, Forbes, Healthcare Innovation News, Inc., Investment Advisor Magazine, MediaPost, New York Post, New York Times, Ottawa Citizen and Wired. Saligram was recognized in the large company executive of the year category.

The B.C. CEO Awards are presented annually by Business in Vancouver, Deloitte, and TEC Canada.

The Stevie Awards are one of the world's most premier business awards, recognizing the achievement and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals around the world through seven different award categories, including the Stevie Awards for Women in Business where Anna Sgro was recognized.
