Road Machinery & Supplies Co. rang in its 100th anniversary this spring and summer with a series of celebrations recognizing employees, customers, manufacturers and partners who have contributed to the company's century in business.
"This is a significant milestone, and we are thankful and appreciative to all of the customers, manufacturers, and employees — past and current — who were able to come out and help us celebrate our anniversary," said CEO and third-generation owner of RMS, Mike Sill II.
Anniversary events were held throughout RMS' footprint, including in Dallas, Texas; Des Moines, Iowa; Negaunee, Mich.; Virginia, Minn.; and Eagan, Minn. With its centralized location among the RMS territory, the Eagan gathering served as the headlining celebration. Held at the TCO Performance Center and Minnesota Vikings Museum, the event brought together more than 250 guests to celebrate the centennial milestone.
"One of the highlights of our centennial celebrations has been hearing stories from people who have worked alongside RMS over the years," said Abby Sill, vice president of employee experience and marketing. "Hearing their memories and seeing the photos they've shared has been a nice reminder of the relationships that have defined RMS' first 100 years."
