Sales Auction Company Hosts Record $5.3 Million Auction

Equipment 4 Rent, Bridgewater, Mass., was on the hunt for some high-quality equipment to improve their fleet. Richard Wojtkowski, owner of Pittsfield Lawn & Tractor, Pittsfield, Mass., was interested in this Kawasaki loader and other pieces of equipment to update his inventory. A 2012 Bobcat skid steer T870 with 1889 hours sold for $41,000 and was just one of 16 skid steers at the sale. A 2014 Cat 924K sold for $126,000. A total of 29 wheel loaders were offered for sale. This 1930 Ford Sedan Rat Rod attracted quite the crowd of car enthusiasts. This 1936 Ford Coupe was featured at the sale. This 2003 Peterbilt 378 triaxle tractor, with 634,664 mi. sold for $63,000. Record-breaking crowds poured in for the sale. Even the ring men had trouble entering, because it was so crowded. With the large selection of dozers, excavators, skid steers, screening machines, dump trucks, work trucks, aerial lifts, tractors and mowers, buyers were sure to find what they were looking for. Sam Sales (L), owner of Sales Auction Company, kicked off the morning by auctioneering a lot of small equipment and parts.

Sales Auction Company hosted its largest sale to date Oct. 3, in Windsor Locks, Conn., with more than 1016 lots of equipment. Its inventory featured super clean surplus vehicles and equipment from Sirois & Gale Construction located in West Hartford, Conn.; Magic Enterprises of Enfield, Conn.; Metropolitan District Commission of Hartford, Conn.; Sunbelt Rentals with locations throughout Connecticut; and other area dealers, municipalities, and rental outfits.
