Screen Machine Industries Inc. has announced a major expansion effort with a new 90,000-sq.-ft. addition to its existing 40,000-sq.-ft. facility in Etna, OH, increasing its advanced manufacturing capabilities.

This expansion will enable Screen Machine Industries to double its total manufacturing capacity by Jan. 1, 2006, the estimated completion date.

The company currently operates two other factories of 55,000 sq. ft. in Columbus, OH, and 40,000 sq. ft. in Clarksburg, WV. The new facility will feature modern manufacturing capabilities such as multiple high definition plasma burning tables, CNC operated plate forming brakes, remote control overhead cranes and two painting facilities.

This marks the first of several expansions scheduled for the Etna location.

As Screen Machine expands its sales force and dealership network more deeply into the western and southern regions of the United States, as well as the continuation of an aggressive world-wide export campaign, the company will add additional square footage and create jobs.

According to the company, its corporate goal is to become the largest American made screening and crushing manufacturer in the country.

“We’ve already achieved the quality standard, now we will focus on quantity to support the demand for these high quality American made products,” said Screen Machine Industries Inc. President and CEO Steve Cohen.

Screen Machine Industries has been producing equipment designs for more than 38 years and is one of the largest American manufacturers of portable screening and crushing equipment used in the construction and mining industries.

All Screen Machine products are manufactured in the United States, utilizing American made parts.

Products include crushers, screening plants, blenders, trommel screens and conveyers. Models include the 4043T impact crusher, Spyder 516T and the 621T shredder/trommel.
