During the Stephenson Equipment open house, guests could watch a Bagela asphalt recycling plant make hot asphalt for paving or pothole patching from dry bulk virgin or recycled asphalt. A Yanmar model CBL40 tractor loader backhoe places dry bulk asphalt materials into the Bagela asphalt recycling plant. Hot recycled asphalt is put in place for asphalt repair at Stephenson Equipment’s parking lot using the Yanmar model CBL40 tractor loader backhoe. Enjoying a close-up demonstration of the Bagela asphalt recycling plant, (L-R, front) are Pat Torico, deputy commissioner of public works of the city of Binghamton; Kevin Normille, street supervisor of the city of Binghamton; and Jim O’Malley, plant Shawn Enright, regional sales manager of Yanmar (R) discusses Yanmar diesel engines with Don Parker (L) and Cliff Murry of the city of Ithaca, N.Y. Bill Hoffman (R) of Stephenson Equipment’s Albany location demonstrates a Yanmar tractor loader backhoe with a hammer attachment to Chuck Manee of the New York State Department of Transportation.

Stephenson Equipment held an open house/equipment show March 30 at its facility in Syracuse, N.Y., and April 1 at its Albany, N.Y., branch.

Factory representatives were on hand to answer questions, while financial institutions were available to arrange financing. Stephenson and manufacturer representatives also demonstrated equipment on site.

This year’s event was supported by Bagela, Diamond, Easy Lawn, LeeBoy/Rosco, Python, Spydercrane and Terex. Lunch was provided by Dinosaur Barbecue.
